About Andie

Andie Morgenlander is an actor, writer, director, and producer of both short and feature length narrative films. With her art, she strives to create platforms that propel collective healing and awaken conscious conversations that will ultimately lead to a compassionate and more sustainable way of living. She has her Bachelor of Arts from Louisiana State University in theatre performance, and during her time spent in "Hollywood South" she immersed herself in the creative processes surrounding acting, filmmaking and costume design. Over the past 10 years, Andie has created, costume designed and acted in a cosmic array of pieces ranging from one-act plays to independent feature films. Andie's award-winning short film POLISHED has played internationally and across the United States. It won “Best Experimental Short” in the Austin Micro-Short Film festival, and "Best Actress in a Short Film" at both Georgia Shorts and the Southern States Indie Fan Film Festival. She co-wrote, executive produced and acted in the independent feature LUKE & JO which has garnered various awards including "Best Narrative Film" at Full Bloom Film Festival and "Best Feature Film" at Fort Meyers Beach International Film Festival. For her co-starring role as "Jo," Andie received the "Best Actor" award at Fort Meyers Beach International Film Festival and "Best Actress" at Milledgeville Film Festival. LUKE & JO is now available on Amazon Prime and Vimeo. Andie co-created a narrative about queer visibility in Appalachia, titled WHISTLE DOWN WIND. It has played both nationally and internationally on the festival circuit, and is currently being adapted into a feature film. She recently completed principal photography on BIRTHING, a short that she wrote, produced and directed. The film centers one woman's tragic miscarriage.
