As DP for the Buffalo Bills preseason media day, I was responsible for creating a clean, consistent broadcast look across all player headshots, lineups, and network sound bites. I lit each player with a soft, evenly balanced key and fill setup, controlled backlight and bounce lighting for different complexions and hairstyles, and maintained proper separation from the green screen to ensure seamless post-production workflows. Working closely with production, I helped streamline the capture process for NBC, ESPN, CBS, Amazon, NBC-FNIA, and Netflix deliverables while ensuring every player’s headshot and lineup performance was framed, lit, and recorded to meet network broadcast standards. Media days are always a fast-paced environment, with dozens of players moving through set while multiple networks require specific deliverables on a tight schedule. My focus was on maintaining consistency from player to player while making quick lighting adjustments when needed, allowing the crew to keep the line moving efficiently without sacrificing image quality. It was a great opportunity to work alongside a talented production team and contribute to content that will be seen throughout the NFL season across a variety of national broadcasts.
